Questions
How do tokens work?
Tokens are the one thing you stake and win in SideBet. Every member starts the season with the same balance, 1,000 tokens by default.
Tokens have no cash value. They cannot be bought, cashed out or transferred, and betting never costs money. The one thing SideBet charges for is the optional GM Assistant subscription, and it has nothing to do with tokens.
How are odds calculated?
Odds come from projected fantasy scores. They update as projections change during the week, and the price you took is the one your bet is paid at.
How does pick'em work?
Pick a winner for every matchup in your league each week. No tokens are involved. You can change a pick until its matchup locks, and everyone's picks show once it does.
A correct pick scores one. A tied matchup is a push and a voided matchup is void, and neither counts. The pick'em table ranks correct picks, with weeks won as the tiebreak. Pick'em runs in both league modes.
What are Book and Pick'em leagues?
A Book league has everything: matchup lines, props, Specials, futures, H2H challenges and pick'em, with a token balance for every member.
A Pick'em league has no markets and no tokens. It keeps scores, pick'em and playoff odds, and the Book tab becomes Scores. The commissioner chooses the mode in League Settings.
In either mode, anyone can join a league's pick'em with just a SideBet account.
